It’s been a year since our first Halloween travel post and I feel like I’ve been looking more at New England fall and winter photos than usual. Is it because there’s a pandemic and going up to the shops feels like a weekend getaway? Yeah, yeah I think so.
Unlike last time which was places solely in the USA, we’re going more global with this one and looking at what would be some cool places to go to for Halloween.
Speaking of Halloween, we all hope you stay safe and decide to have a good one at home. We’ll actually be away for two weeks to get some personal stuff attended to before Christmas.. oh god that’s coming soon too…
It might sound weird, but I really enjoy seeing celebrities embracing a good costume. Whether for Halloween, San Diego Comic Con, or any other celebration, I enjoy seeing the detailed and ingenuity of elaborate costumes, or the more amusingly simpler ones (you’ll see what I mean below).
So I thought it’d be fun to look at some of my favourites over the years and maybe you’ll play dress-up while we’re all just home having our own little one-on-one celebrations (or like me, you just look at pictures).
There’s definitely more fun in posting Halloween content, and we’re kicking off this year’s Halloween month with some fun games… okay some aren’t exactly fun as they are nightmare simulators but nevertheless, tick the box of making you pee a little bit.
Lately I’ve been watching a lot of people on Twitch playing Among Us, and it’s got me thinking about what video game worlds would be awful to be stuck in, so here are some from an endless list!
You might see some obvious ones missing from the list but that’s because they’re appearing in another post and I didn’t want to repeat any!
Keeping your Shirley Temple’s grenadine red is awesome and Halloweeny, but since we’ve been making things black we might as well make the grenadine black too!
Get your drinkware and pour whatever soda you wish; it’s usually a lemon-lime soda, 7-Up or Mountain Dew, however, we had a can of Solo and some lemon lime & bitters chilling in the back of the fridge so.. waste not, want not.
Pour syrup into your glasses slowly then add a squeeze or two of black gel food colouring or to your liking. As it swirls round-and-round it darkens, taking on a purple or green colour!
We really hope you have a happy and safe Halloween, thank you so much for popping around and we’ll see you next week when I come out of Halloween-coma!
It’s still October? You mean Halloween hasn’t happened yet and I still have stuff to post???
Today’s post is all about simple stuff for maximum impact.. which is basically the unofficial motto of this site. Is it working smarter not harder? Absolutely not; I don’t feel smart when I’m running on no sleep, TMJ pain and a kid next door dragging something over the wooden deck, all while I attempt to type something remotely coherent.
Aside from all that, we’re going to make a spooky party platter with some props, a lot of ready-made stuff, a few healthy things and – surprisingly – homemade stuff!
