Take Me To… Paris

Take me to Paris! Take me to fill my belly with French sweets, meats, butter, maybe even some wine. Take me to see what the locals do in this iconic city. We can do some of the token, touristy things, but let’s get lost and eat to almost insanity.

Take me to the coolest museums, like the Museum of Vampires and Legendary Creatures and the Museum of the History of Medicine

or if I’m daring enough, to the catacombs beneath Paris’ underground.

Later, we can go say hello to Jim Morrison and Oscar Wilde at the Père Lachaise Cemetery.
If our hearts sing too much sorrow, take me to the Palais Garnier and the Opera Bastille to look at the beautiful interiors and the grand stairs…

if the weather is nice, we can go outside and wander off the beaten track, away from the busy, touristy streets and do as the locals do.
Since we are wandering around, exploring Paris to its full potential, take me to the best places to photograph the city! Go to the top of the Arc de TriompheTour Montparnasse and the rooftop terrace Printemps for incredible views of Paris – not just the Eiffel Tower, but we can get it in some shots (just need to remember that it’s illegal to photograph it at night!).

Take me to see the Cathedral of Notre Dame and it’s beautiful Gargoyles before they’re gone (note to self: donate some money so they can be restored!).
While we’re looking at cathedrals, take me to see the stained windows and gothic style that makes the Sainte-Chapelle.

Take me to get some food! I’m in Paris, so I must have a macaron or five at Ladurée. Éclairs, croissants, crème brûlée, mousse, croquembouche, profiterole and crêpes! Street crepes!

While I stuff my face with every French treat I can, I should get moving to get some souvenirs for myself, like a Diptyque candle or a really cool and unique memento from Fleux’. Indulge in French beauty brands like Darphin, Biotherm, Vichy, La Roche-Posay, Nuxe and Caudalie!

All this is making me tired, where should I rest my head? Do I go to the beautifully elegant Hotel d’Aubusson? Modern, sweet and simple like Our Home In Paris? The quirky but fun Hotel Amour? Perhaps something in the middle like Mama Paris? A Batman lamp? I’m sold just on that!

Let me go to sleep in a comfy bed, profiterole in hand, and we can start all over again tomorrow….
